RoHS “Authorized Representative”

RoHS “Authorized Representative”

RoHS applies to four types of companies or individuals in the supply chain: manufacturers, importers, distributors, and authorized representatives.

For RoHS purposes, you qualify as an “authorized representative” if:
  1. You are located within the European Economic Area (EEA); and
  2. You have a contract with a manufacturer to represent that manufacturer or otherwise act on behalf of that manufacturer within the EEA.
If you meet these criteria, you are considered an “authorized representative” under RoHS even if you are acting as an individual and not through a company.
