What Is the Difference Between the CE and UKCA Marking Requirements?

The essential requirements that must be met, and the conformity assessment processes and standards that can be used to demonstrate conformity, are largely the same for both markings.

The difference is, with a CE mark, your product can be sold in the EU and in some other countries, including Turkey. To sell in the UK market, a UKCA mark will need to be affixed to all relevant products.

Manufacturers that currently use the CE marking destined for the UK market, now need this additional conformity assessment documentation and product marking. And at the same time, the UKCA mark will hold no validity in the EU, it is a UK only mark.
